Michael Cohen is the Founder and Managing Principal of Capital Strategic Advisors, a Washington DC-based advisory firm helping international companies navigate US market entry, government affairs, and the relationships that determine whether a DC-area presence succeeds.
Michael brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of business operations, government relations, and international commerce. Prior to founding CSA, he worked for eleven years as President and CEO of Suitless Inc., where he helped domestic and international companies establish and operate their US presence, building deep expertise in the DC regulatory environment, entity formation, and the network of service providers that make US operations work.
Earlier in his career, Michael held corporate roles at MicroStrategy, the Consumer Technology Association, the Entertainment Software Association, and Vox Media, giving him broad exposure to technology, policy, and media sectors.
Michael served as a two-term elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) in Washington, D.C., giving him firsthand engagement with DC government at multiple levels. This combination of business experience and civic standing informs CSA's approach: practical, relationship-driven advisory that helps international companies move faster and smarter in the DC market.
